Noise no longer noise

Sound unrendered by ears

It is magic, this stuff

This essential, stirring,

upsetting, poignant, 

thrilling, arousing,

quieting, lingering stuff

Filtered by the soul and heart 

and mind and body

Speaking to any or all –

crying, laughing, longing

and longing some more –

longing for the magic

Something even I might conjure

A Magi, I, when music

is my language,

the vessel of my hopes and dreams,

the wind that blows as gale or breeze

my songs to you
